The 12th Arkansas Sharpshooters operates out of Jonesboro, Arkansas. We are based on Rapley's Sharpshooters of the 12th Arkansas Battalion, C.S.A. We are accepting new members! The 12th Arkansas is an early war impression of life as an elite Confederate Sharpshooter. We utilize Enfield Rifles with period brass scopes, as well as Whitworths for those who want to be more authentic. We are NOT a hard core re-enactment unit, we place more value on family, fun, and honoring the true ideals of the Southern fighting man. We prefer to act as a stand alone sharpshooter unit at re-enactments, but when additional Confederate Infantry is needed, we act as Infantry ourselves or fall in with the 51st Tennessee out of Memphis, Tennessee. We have an age minimum of 18 to join our unit. We require all members to wear grey or butternut jackets and trousers as we do not allow Union Blue. Each member is expected to purchase all his own equipment and follow the Rules & Regulations of the unit at all times. Our annual membership fees are due the day of your enlistment with us and on January 1st of each calander year thereafter. | ||||||||||||||||
